Whether you need a single extra socket in the kitchen or power points fitted throughout a full renovation, we handle it the same way: neatly and to standard. We install standard singles and doubles, USB-A and USB-C combination outlets, weatherproof points for garages and laundries, and dedicated circuits for high-draw appliances like dishwashers and ovens. What the Install Involves
Every power point is a little different depending on where you want it and how far it sits from the nearest circuit. We work out the tidiest cable route, run and chase the cable where needed, make good the wall, then fit the outlet you have chosen. The circuit and the new point are tested, and we issue a Certificate of Compliance for the work. A single power point usually takes an hour or two. We leave your home as tidy as we found it, because tidying up after ourselves is just part of the job.

The cost depends on where you want the outlet and how much cabling the run needs, so we give you a free estimate with the price agreed upfront before we start. Adding a socket next to an existing circuit is quick and cheap, while a point on the far side of the house, or one needing a new dedicated circuit, takes more work. A single power point usually takes one to two hours, depending on where it goes and how far the cable has to run. Fitting several points at once, or a job that needs a new cable run across the house, will take longer. Yes. USB power points are one of the most popular upgrades we fit, and they are a tidy way to charge phones and tablets without a wall wart hogging a socket. We install combination outlets with USB-A, USB-C, or both alongside the normal sockets, which is handy in bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms. If you are already having a power point added or replaced, swapping to a USB combination outlet is an easy call. Let us know which rooms you want them in and we will recommend the right outlet.
Yes. Moving a power point to a better spot, or replacing a tired or damaged outlet, is a common job for us. Maybe a bench renovation has left a socket stranded, or an old outlet is cracked or no longer holding a plug properly. We will relocate or replace it neatly, run any cable needed, make good the wall, then test and certify the work. Yes. We install weatherproof outdoor power points for decks, patios, garages, sheds and BBQ areas, all rated for New Zealand outdoor conditions with the correct protection. Outdoor points need weatherproof fittings and proper earthing, so they are not the same as an indoor socket, and getting that right keeps them safe in the wet.
